Job Description:
Battano Construction Limited has over 40 years experience specializing in concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, and concrete slab installation. Located in North Bay Ontario we service many areas of the province with a dedicated team highly focussed on providing quality product for our customers. We pride ourselves on a keen work ethic, and more importantly, the talent and skills of our people.
Currently Battano Construction is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher/Lead Hand to join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
• Ability to read, blueprints and drawings to identify location, grade and slope.
• Set up string line, according to survey layout information for sidewalks and curb.
• Hand form using appropriate materials, i.e. steel forms, lumber, pickets pins, etc.
• Check for granular base and steel, reinforcement materials, and direct. placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
• Ensure proper concrete mix and consistency is kept and maintained during the pour.
• Assist with pouring and finishing of concrete.
• Follow all safety regulations and guidelines on the job site.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
• Proficient in string line, set up, determining grade, change, and identifying discrepancies.
• Ability to read and understand blueprint designs to determine proper location of concrete.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise and accurate work.
• Excellent, problem-solving, skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to work, flexible hours and overtime as required
• Proficient in the use of power tools related to form work assembly and concrete placement.
• Valid G drivers license.

Wage: $25-$30/Hr , 45-55 hrs /week , Monday-Friday, Overtime , Weekends as needed
Experience: 1-3 years in Construction/Concrete is preferred
