Industrial Safety Trainers Inc. is an industry leader in Health & Safety training and consulting. We are currently seeking TWO dynamic training professionals to add to our team to service clients Ontario-wide.
The successful proponent will work out of our Barrie, Ontario Head Office but will also be required to travel throughout Ontario, using a branded company vehicle. This role is responsible for course delivery, testing, and practical evaluations, along with other associated tasks. The selected candidate will receive on-the-job training and mentoring along with ongoing support and will become a part of a growing, forward-thinking company of like-minded OHS Professionals. The candidate should have experience in Occupational Health and Safety training, be safety conscious, and be comfortable working autonomously.
Responsibilities:
• As our brand ambassador, ensure quality and consistency in the delivery of our training programs
• Engage the client in a variety of ways to foster the creation and growth of their internal safety programs which in turn encourages employees to improve their own safety culture
• Provide ongoing technical safety advice, guidance, and coaching where necessary
• Foster continuous improvement of existing training programs as well as the development of new training and internal practices
• Timely, and accurate, completion and submission of all required documentation related to training delivery
• Other duties as required
Qualifications:
• Experience operating equipment including, but not limited to: forklifts, cranes, elevated work platforms, or, other heavy equipment
• A fully certified JHSC member is preferred
• Experience in manufacturing and/or construction environment preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced presentation and written skills
• Ability to assess situations and problem-solve for the most effective resolution for all parties involved
• Exposure to adult learning principles is an asset
• Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office applications and adept at minor troubleshooting
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
