Position Summary:
Western Mechanical Electrical Millwright Services Ltd. is looking for an experienced Structural/Civil Engineer with an advanced knowledge of structural design and engineering processes. Applicants must be able to work independently and within a team environment. Minimum of 4 years experience as a licensed professional engineer is required.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Structural design
• Use of building models in Revit and creating design drawings within those models
• Drafting/detailing in AutoCAD and Inventor in 2D and 3D environments, when required to assist with project planning
• Site inspections
• Review of project requirements / documents such as plans, specifications and reports
• Work closely with project managers, detailers, and other engineers
• Prepare structural engineering drawings and design reports
• Project troubleshooting and development
Capabilities & Credentials:
• Licenced Professional Engineer in good standing with the PEO
• Experience in building and foundation design, reinforced concrete and structural steel
• Ontario G Class Drivers License
• Experience with the Ontario Building Code (OBC) would be an asset but not necessary.
• Experience with software including AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Term, Hours of Work and Compensation:
• We expect to compensate the successful candidate at hourly rates consistent with market expectations and based on experience.
• This is a full-time in person position at our office in Barrie, ON.
• The role is entitled to vacation pay and paid statutory holidays.

Job description
The Intermediate Structural Steel Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, designing, execution, monitoring and closure of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
– Responsible for meeting the project scheduling requirements:
– Responsible for project changes:
• Design
• Pricing
• Customer Authorization
– Liaison between Nor-Weld and customer, ensuring all pertinent impacts of project are communicated in a timely fashion
– Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues
– Quality Control:
• Ensuring all drawings are reviewed and edited accordingly prior to submitting to production.
• Inspect completed components prior to delivery to job site.
– Prioritizing and scheduling of jobs.
– Ability to job estimate and act as a back-up to the Senior Estimator.
Requirement:
– Post secondary / apprenticeship certificate in related field is a plus
– Minimum 5 years’ experience as a project manager
– Excellent computer skills
– Excellent Interpersonal skills
