PROJECT COORDINATOR
Salary Range – $83,347 – $104,178 per year
1.0 FTE Permanent
The Simcoe County District School Board is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Project Coordinator, working out of the Education Centre in Midhurst, Ontario. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Design and Construction Services the successful applicant will provide support and resource with respect to the Board’s Capital Building and Renewal programs. Responsibilities include: construction project plan development, preparation of cost estimates, coordination of architectural and engineering contracted design services, preparation of contract documents, contractor procurement and construction review, monitoring the performance of consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with scope, cost, schedule and quality objectives, and conformance to applicable codes and regulations. This may include the need to attend and resolve emergency or urgent situations outside of regular working hours.
Qualifications:
• Three (3) year college diploma in Architectural, Building, or Engineering Technology;
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in all facets of building design and construction including architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Pertinent Skills and Experience:
• Thorough knowledge of the design, construction, and operation of institutional building systems;
• Knowledge of current Building and Fire Codes, Health and Safety Regulations;
• Knowledge of Project Management Techniques;
• Effective planning, managing, and scheduling of multiple projects;
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills;
• Proficient in computer applications MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word), Acrobat, AutoCAD, Revit;
• The successful candidate must possess a valid driver’s licence and proof thereof will be requested on hiring;
• The nature of this position will require the successful candidate to travel to SCDSB facilities throughout Simcoe County, mileage will be reimbursed at the Board approved rate.

This is a full-time permanent position. The regular work year for this position is twelve (12) months of the year. The compensation range for this twelve (12) month position is $83,347 to $104,178 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This position is based on a thirty-five (35) hour work week.
Participation in the OMERS Pension Plan is mandatory for all full-time permanent employees,
even if currently in receipt of an OMERS pension.
